Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Simple Data API. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service and eligibility

Simple Data API provides hosted tools to model fields, manage JSON draft/live snapshots, publish API responses, and monitor usage across your workspace.

You must use the service in compliance with applicable law and only for legitimate business or personal use. You are responsible for activity under your account, including your API keys and team member access.

2. Workspace accounts, plans, and limits

Features and usage limits depend on your current plan. Limits can include things like project count, member seats, draft writes, and API usage thresholds.

We may update plan definitions or limits over time. If we materially reduce a paid plan during an active billing period, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice.

3. Billing and subscriptions

Paid features are billed through our payment provider. When you choose a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges according to the billing cycle shown at checkout until canceled.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and paying applicable taxes. We may suspend paid features for failed or overdue payments.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • violate law, regulations, or third-party rights;
  • store or distribute malware, phishing content, or deceptive payloads;
  • attempt unauthorized access to accounts, endpoints, systems, or data;
  • interfere with platform stability, availability, or security controls;
  • abuse rate limits or generate traffic intended to degrade service.

We may investigate misuse and limit, suspend, or terminate access when needed to protect customers, infrastructure, or legal compliance.

5. Your data and API content

You retain ownership of data and content you submit. You grant us the rights necessary to host, process, back up, and transmit that data to operate the service.

You are responsible for your data quality, lawful basis for processing, and any downstream use of your API responses by your applications or users.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. You are responsible for maintaining credential security, rotating exposed keys, and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.

7. Availability and changes

We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, maintain, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, misuse, legal reasons, or security risk.

9. Disclaimers and liability limits

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to amounts paid by you for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

10. Updates to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
